Another sketch I'm working on. The second layer is hidden here. The completed pic will be posted in the Red Light District. :)
Risha and Jay Chan? Yeah, I ship'em.

The second layer? I can see where this is going hee-hee!
Yes, we are going to fight back. But not here, not now, not in the Colonies. Not even in this star system. Let the word go forth to every man, woman and child who survived this holocaust. Tell them to set sail at once in every assorted vehicle that will carry them.

One of my biggest issues, besides having my figures appear stiff, is that I can never figure out where to pose arms.

Actually the two issues are probably the same, references help. Cartoon characters also have their own "look" for poses and position sometimes. While some instructors favor using mannequins, I found them not as helpful- beyond showing perspective and useful to figure out lighting.

Lighting- Maybe you should try taking pictures of completed art outdoors in daylight?

This is on the back of one of my sketchbooks. Greyson Moone isn't giving the finger, it just looks that way.  :|

Greyson is also a wild child like Xyn, but she's more the party girl vs Xyn's tomboy.

Also a pic of her in an exercise outfit.
Risha and Jay Chan? Yeah, I ship'em.

I think many people have trouble deciding what to do with their arms which is probably why smoking became so popular. Maybe you could have the arms cut out and pretend it was to provide a better visual on the chest and shoulders

Like the design of Grayson. How far back do the drawings go?

Those shoes look painful!

Seem to be a lot of women's shoes that do look painful. I'm wondering, since  we see the toes and their claws, if the heel isn't just that, a heel. If so, it is an interesting idea and design for Kuvrahk footwear.

Russ: these pics go back maybe 9 months or so. I hit a period were I stopped drawing again. :( I've work beyond that now, so, yay! :)

Wraa: got it in one. Open toed boots. Since we see a lot of kuvvies wearing sandals I thought foot fashion would reflect that.
Risha and Jay Chan? Yeah, I ship'em.

Woo!

Yeah, I like the idea of Kuvvy's having a huge variety in footwear.

Trying out various painting apps. This one is from Sketchclub. I used the sketch feature to goof off with a bit. Also tried channeling Chris Sanders, one of my favorite artists/animators.

Great role model choice, creator of "Stitch" and "Toothless"!

She is starting off pretty.
