I double checked, did a search over the entire forum.
The only time "RotW RPG Beta" appeared was in your post here.
I take it that this thread has not yet been created, or is it hidden?

Go into your profile, then go into your modify profile list, then group memberships. RotW Beta should be there and you can apply through that. That's how I did it.
Never truly judge anything until it is finished.

Speedy and Fluffy were measuring tools?

They are part of her "element" I believe,
and they had no form other than her armor...

But this still does not mean she didn't have her measuring tape tool.

Let's try this again...
I post this here too since somewhat related to the topic.
Pages from Phelan
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
tldr: Phelans element are illusions. Cards are a representation of this because he started his illusionist carrier with card trick. (If you play poker with him don't let him deal.) Also carpenter's ruler -> whip-sword and vernier caliper -> a dagger with a second blade hidden in its blade, when the dagger is stabbed into a weak spot the second blade can be pushed forward for more damage. Also he has no favored battle ground since he moved in recently.

Thank you for the clarification,
and my apologies for my confusion.

My opinion is that a deck of cards is very appropriate as a representation of your illusion elemental theme,
and my only reservation was wanting to know how they counted as a "measuring tool" for a weapon.

Since you already have "weapons", I have no scruples with the use of cards.

This is all opinion, of course, as I have no real standing as a "judge";
I was mainly curious about their application,
and even the "traditional rules" seem optional in many cases.

Although...
Do Tarot Cards count as a "tool" to get a "measure" of the future?

^..^~?

Eh.. I think not.

I guess you could consider a hand of poker cards a meta-measuring tool. The specific cards in your hand can be used to measure that hands probablity of winning.

Hmm...

They keep track of the worth of one's hand,
and since each card and combination of cards has it's own value,
I could see it being a "measure"...

Kind of like have dice measure probability via their numbered faces?

Concerning the tarot card question, a deck of playing cards can be used for tarot readings by skilled readers. Make of that what you will.

I think I have a lot of ground to cover. I am hoping that this field is still open as I have some ideas to kick around. I see someone mentioned slide rules. Granted they are not currently in High school but they were.

I would have to work out my Stats and if the Slide Rule weapon works. I already have an idea about what powers ups and specials I would use. Seems like they haven't been used yet.
I would apply to the RP forum but I don't want to end up there before all the groundwork has been covered.

The field is quite open still.

And regarding a binder not being something you usually measure with, I think I'll change my item to a 360 degree protractor.

While not exactly for measuring, Edwards weapons are:

Parallel ruler: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61wTUHOkbeS._SL1434_.jpg

And

Gummy eraser: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/72/Kneaded_eraser.jpg

Sometime I'll get his stats and such up.  But in his RoTW form, think of him as a sort of a Mage/Rogue combination.  His two main powers are the power to go unobserved/unnoticed and charging his gummy erasers with explosive power.
I should put something pithy here, but I don't have the energy.

On third thought, I think I'll change my character's item to a laser thermometer, which once powered up, can change the states of matter of things.
