Headsets and headphones

What headsets do you use, if any? Or do you use headphones (no microphone) instead? What do you think of it?

(I'm actually looking for suggestions on headphones and headsets. Ear buds work, but... well, there's bound to be more comfortable options when I'm at home.)

There's a few different models of Turtle Beach headsets that I hear are pretty good.  Anywhere from $30 to 200 depending on what you want.  And no, they're not just designed for game consoles.

Really the only mic/speaker headset I use is the Xbox 360 headset.  But I don't play PC games online to need one.

Depends if you want one with a standard audio jack or if a USB headset is okay. They're limited in application but there's some nifty USB ones out there.

Thanks to Russ for the sig!

It must support standard jacks.

I got a good deal on a Razer Carcharias headset a while back and I absolutely love it. Even at full price the audio and build quality are pretty great.

Seems like it needs USB, though.

(I'm kind of out of USB ports on my laptop, and my 3DS doesn't have USB for obvious reasons.)

Knew a guy who bought an earlier model of these.  He liked them a lot.  Seems like these might fit what you're wanting.  These just have the headphone an microphone jacks.

It doesn't use USB, just two headphone jacks (one for mic, one for headphones)

Ah, so the "USB port" part is for Xbox 360 and when you can't get proper 3.5mm ports. Nice. Seems like the university's store sell them, so I might take a look at them.
