So, what do you think of the new look for iOS 7? It was just announced at this year's WWDC.

(I'm on the phone, making editing difficult.)

I hate iOS whole number updates, they always make them for the newest equipment and it runs heavier on the older stuff.  iOS 5 made my iPod touch 4th gen a real frustration device.  Hope this doesn't do in my 4s.

Apple borrowed a lot from both Android and Windows Phone this time. It'll be interesting to see how they use the new look. I'm more interested in the under the hood enhancements. The new anti-theft lock pleases me to no end! I also want to see how iRadio works and if it will be a good replacement for Xbox Music subscription.
Risha and Jay Chan? Yeah, I ship'em.

I've always been a fan of Apple's intuitive, simplistic designs, but I have to agree with Lisbon; they are treading a bit closer to Android/Windows than I'd like. At the same time though, I see a lot of improvements in usability and convenience that I look forward to trying out on my iPhone 4 (assuming it hasn't been made entirely obsolete by then).

The thing that will bother me the most is that the Apple fanatics, aka iSheep, will say that Apple has innovated its product without giving proper credit to what Microsoft and Google has done. Worse, the damned patent trolls will come out of the wood work and go after everybody while the big companies are at each others throats.

Yeah, the swipe controls and running apps screen in particular have been on my android devices rather a long time.

Thanks to Russ for the sig!

I gotta say I'm digging the command center, saves me all that double tapping. I was actually hoping they'd make Bluetooth and wifi controls more easily accessible

I don't like change, but that's just me.  I am happy that it has not slowed down my phone, if anything it's running faster than it was and seems like 3G data is running faster too.  But the 3G might just Ben an effect of where I am instead of the operating system.

I gotta say it looks a lot like a windows phone, I mean the flat scheme they've chosen for the icons. It almost feels like an aesthetic step backwards. I'm glad the 5S has the fingerprint scanner though, whatever my qualms with the OS I have to admit that's a cool gizmo.
