New dragon on deck
« on: December 11, 2014, 07:20:50 AM »
Hello,

Now that I was finally able to get the registration email I am now here.
One of my favorite comics I have been reading since before the 'big switch' I finally thought to step out of the shadows to say hello.

Hi Agry! Welcome aboard! I'm Lisbon, the local Acme salesman, and one of the chaos starters of the forums. :) please feel free to make yourself at home. As a way of welcome, I offer an Acme brand Bag Of Holding, filled with a dozen Acme brand Portable Holes. Others will be in to offer various welcome gifts soon. Settle yourself in, let yourself get swept up in the ensuing mayhem, and have fun.
Risha and Jay Chan? Yeah, I ship'em.

*Edward quietly walks into the room, sees the newcomer and ponders him for a moment, then silently begins to dig around inside his backpack.  After shifting some things around, he comes up with a mixtape cassette full of rock songs he put together.  Silently, almost shyly, he goes up to Agry and hands him the cassette.*

Um, enjoy this mixtape and welcome to the forum!  :)

*Then the small teenage kurvey wanders off to go back to the corner to listen to his music and read his comics.*
I should put something pithy here, but I don't have the energy.

*hands over a welcome balloon*

Just... watch your step. Things are strange here. It's fun, but a shade unpredictable when people leave their portable holes lying about.

Welcome ^.^

Thanks to Russ for the sig!

Welcome to the forum! *hefts an open cardboard box full of various kuvrahk plushies* Take one (1) please, My gift to you! ^.=.^ Though, as Dreaker said, there are no Boo plushies. I discontinued them since they kept getting stolen.
Yes, we are going to fight back. But not here, not now, not in the Colonies. Not even in this star system. Let the word go forth to every man, woman and child who survived this holocaust. Tell them to set sail at once in every assorted vehicle that will carry them.

Thanks for the heads up on all the goings on to all! I think I will have to get my 'kuve' on, check out the mixed tape, (go walkman!) and find myself a place to hang my hat for a while. Bags of holding are always usefull along with a way out of any portable holes, I suppose the balloon may help.

All out of cute, little Boo? Well, CC will more then do.
Sadly I am all out of food, and that includes my pockets.

*looks at his hand now holding a cassette tape. He looks the tape over, turning it several times to listen to the reels inside shift.* "Thank you," he says to the now vacant space that once was occupied by a small teenage kurvey.
He looks around then shrugs looking in his own bag for a small black trimmed walkman, popping the tape in and closing the small device. Pressing a button on it draws a frown from him.*

*opens up the Walkman, tosses out the batteries, and replaces them with a faintly glowing blue package*

Liquid helium superconducting generator, travel size.
Should last longer than the Walkman itself.
Or it might implode and cause en EMP burst every 19 hours. Small chance though. You and the Walkman should be fine even if that happens.
Just don't bring it near any MRI scanners.

*scampers off to build more things with his time clones*

Belated (but  not overly so) welcomings to you . Glad you decided to step out of the shadows, one shadow lord around here is about all we can handle.

Such a friendly place, I suppose a more through introduction is in order.
A little more about me, I've been a long standing Lurker on many a site and been a shadow among shadows for much longer. I found this comic off and on for a while and then, only recently did I discover the forum and here I am. My background is in biology and ecology flavored with genetics and some behaviour. As I am not able to speak in specifics I will say I work for a technology giant as a professional problem solver.
I have been raised on a healthy dose of RP and love a good story.
With that being said I am putting together a kuvrahk character using the form, not sure where to put it though or the Limits on the stats or if I need to pick a measuring device for a weapon or if this is the right forum. Lots of questions hope to find some answers.

List you kuvsona in the thread in Altermeta Talk. It's pinned at the top. For RotW, we have a thread available in the Louvre to post in. :)when it comes to measuring instruments, you can duplicate anything that's already been used. It's the transformed weapon that's unique. :)

Oh, and about the Bag of Holding and the Portable Holes. They store stuff too. You might be surprised what is already in them. ;)
Risha and Jay Chan? Yeah, I ship'em.

Um, I've been meaning to ask what this green glowing rod is that I found in mine?  It's sort of humming ominously and is a bit warm!
I should put something pithy here, but I don't have the energy.

Oh, so THAT'S where that went! Sometimes the portable holes will synch up with the nearest bag of holding, and items from each can be pulled out of the other.

*takes the glowing green rod, puts it in something that can only be talked about in the RLD, and puts it inside his bag of holding*

I've actually been looking for that. Thanks. :)

The dragon speaks up...

"What are your thoughts on the current implications of Entangled Dual-State Quarks
with regards to hyper-dimensional data teleportation?"
