[Changelog]

  • 02/14/2007 - Forum: Moved all posts inactive for 90 days or more to "Rest In Peace".
  • 02/14/2007 - Forum: Added the "Move old Topics" Mod.
In the case of art threads, will the creators be able to post in their old thread again to move it back into The Library or The Louvre when they have updates?  Will any activity at all move a thread from Rest In Peace back?

Also, Rest In Peace is now the top board.

Unfortunately not. however, I, or any of the moderators, will move the person's thread back on request (and the art forums will be exempt from this pruning in the future.)

Don't know why I forgot this, but Audiofiles-R-Us may also be a place to consider this exemption.  ZielZorix has actually placed links to MIDI files there, and my lyrics were linked there.  Come to think of it, I think Ziel has a better case than I do.  :P

yeah, I completely zoned out... should have remembered the check boxes.
About all I actually took out manually was the private threads.

If you stumble across something that should be moved, link the thread here.

I still say that the RIP forum is a really bad idea. I would much rather see something that would lock old topics. That way this would stay in their respective categories and make them much easier to find.

Also, what boards did you apply that to?

Unfortunately, I don't know a way to lock old topics automatically, though I'll look into it.

Besides, this way works well enough for the search (if you want to start a topic and it's in the graveyard, feel free to remake it and bring fresh discussion!)

  • 04/03/2007 - Site: added csyelus.com to point to the forum.  forum.altermeta.net links will still work indefinately.
  • 04/02/2007 - Site: pointed kuvrahk.com to the main site, altermeta.net still works.  kuvrahk.info points to the kuvvie FAQ (hey, it was a free domain, thought it'd be fun)

That makes me happy that I went through the effort to make the FAQ all nice.

On a side note, I think it may bre a better idea to park kuvrahk.com on top of (or redirect to) altermeta.net rather than act as a full domain. Although I do like how the forums not reside 'on' Csyelus.

heh, well, kuvrahk.com is parked on altemeta.net (altermeta.net being the main domain name)
everything is just relative paths so a lot of the links follow the kuvrahk.com domain.  Also, kuvrahk.com is not one that's meant to be very well advertised.  it may be used for emails and such as well as some other use in the future.  I wanted to seperate the community a bit more from the main site, so I gave it "csyelus.com" to signify that it's its own little world (and besides, now all the kuvvies around here have a home! :P )

all the old altermeta.net stuff still works, and will always work, just a couple new domains.  kuvrahk.info is one that was free for a year so I figured "what the hell"

04/16/2007 - Site: Added new Ads to the main page, archive page as well once I fix the bugs in the layout. These go through project wonderful.  They seem to target comics more.

Finally got accepted into the project wonderful thing.  Hopefully these ads will help bring in a bit more support for the site (once people get around to placing bids on them :P)

If you find any bugs in how they're laid out, let me know here or through email

05/03/2007 - Forum: Removed "topic solved mod because it was causing problems with an error.

Removed topic solved mod because something in it started slowing down the forum and filling up the mySQL database with over 200MB of error log entries (that's somewhere around a million entries)

Hopefully everything should stay nice and speedy now :)
